Bennett Family

Autumn is always a great time for photos. The warm tones in the trees, leaves on the ground, great sunlight and the crisp air. I spent a great afternoon in the park with Chris and Philana and their little girl did so well considering we were doing the shoot during her usual nap time. I don't think there was a single tear during the entire shoot.

Tanya and Nick

Tanya was kind enough to be a model for us when we first started the studio so it was great to be there as a part of her wedding day. After a couple of relaxing days at the beach with the family, I was definitely revitalised and ready to shoot. All the locations were great to shoot at which always makes my job much less stressful. The unit where the girls got ready was very bright and airy, the ceremony was held right on the water front and then kings beach is always a great spot for photographers. So many ideas and with winter coming the days are getting shorter. Had to shoot pretty quickly but everyone in the bridal party was awesome. Thanks guys.

Kimmins and Wilson Family

I was able to catch up with these guys and get some photos of the new addition to the family. We did some photos around Christmas time and it's crazy how much the two boys have grown. Can't wait til next time.

Chris and Susannah E-Shoot

For the shoot today we met up in the Valley in Brisbane and wandered til we found some cool spots for photos. There are so many little nooks and crannies to use when you have the time to look. I am really looking forward to photographing Chris and Susannah's wedding in a few months and if they did as well as they did at the e-shoot, we will get some great results.

Wuersching Family

After photographing Nick and Elicia's wedding a few years ago their family has grown and they now have a cute little girl. We got a few studio pics which gives me a chance to get a bit creative with lighting and then headed out to an empty paddock right on sunset. Great for family shots. The sunset was just right and gave these a beautiful warm tone.

Lauren and Joel

After a very busy week it was nice to have a relaxing day with Joel, Lauren their children and bridal party. We had a wonderful day, timed everything perfectly and even found a new spot near town get some nice green grass photos. A very productive day and some great shots too. Sorry to the two girls too for getting your names mixed up all day. I'm promise I will remember in the future.

Paula and Billy

Another new location and after wandering around the farm there was quite a few ideas that sprang to mind. After all my thinking one of my favourite shots was Billy walking back from the house with his gun which we used in some of the photos. Very tombstone. A big thanks to Paula's parents for letting us use the house for photos. I have to apologise too to Paula's mum for the using the old stairs and not the new painted ones. :-)

Janelle and Damian

FIJI!! Definitely a highlight of the year. I briefly met Nellie and Damian at a wedding I photographed a few months ago and they mentioned that they were getting married in Fiji but I didn't give it another thought after that. So when I got a call from Nellie about photographing their wedding I was over the moon. After a pleasant trip to Treasure Island resort, the wedding location, I sat down to a great dinner and then stayed up and played some poker with the boys. Not sure what time they kicked on til but some of them looked a little worse for wear the next day. The resort has it's own beauty spa and Nellie spent the morning being pampered and getting prepared for the wedding. The ceremony was set on the beautiful white sand and Nellie arrived being carried by Fiji warriors. The island is only quite small so we went for a wander around to get some shots and were lucky enough to get a beautiful sunset. The reception was set on the beachfront and everyone was in holiday mode so there was heaps of frivolity and got crazier as the night went on. It was great to make some new friends and experience the Fijian hospitality.

Renee and Joe

I was hanging out for the wedding today as I had a few ideas I wanted to try and we were going to location I haven't been to before. Everything went to plan. Weird!! I was stoked with the results we got and we even had heaps of fun along the way. I limit myself to posting 5 photos per wedding on the blog but it was quite difficult culling it down to only 5. These are my favourties.

Melinda and Chris

There was quite a few familiar faces at this wedding so I was able to catch up and say a quick hello to a few people. It was a really enjoyable day for me as we had quite a bit of time to get the photos we needed and there was no need to rush so I was able to spending almost as much time socialising and photographing. Being able to chat with everyone crosses over to getting a much more casual feeling in the photos.

Fuller Family

I have crossed paths with these guys a few times over the years and It was wonderful to see them all together and take some family shots for them. It always great to hear positive feedback and I was thrilled to hear that after the shoot they all had a coffee together and had a chance to catch up. Got a new catch phrase, 'Salt Studios, bringing families together'. Cheesy enough for you??
